Labiaplasty (labia reduction). MonaLisa Touch ™ laser therapy

The procedure consists in reducing the labia majora and/or minora and modelling them with the use of specialised tip of the laser. The excess labia tissue is cut by the laser. The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia.

The advantages of laser labiaplasty

Labiaplasty procedures performed with the use of laser are safer and provide better effects than those performed with scalpel. The laser stimulates the coagulation of tissue, so there is no bleeding. This reduces the risk of post-surgical scarring, reduces swelling of the treated area and discomfort after the procedure, as well as radically shortens recovery time. The laser not only models external intimate areas of the female body but also increases the density and elasticity of the tissue by stimulating the production of collagen.

For whom?

The procedure is addressed to:

women with an anatomical labia minora hypertrophy.

women whose size of labia minora is the cause of inflammations, abrasions, swelling and irritation.

women who suffer from recurrent inflammatory disorders and pain due to wearing close-fit clothes.

women whose size of labia minora is a problem of aesthetic nature.

Preparation for the procedure

Consultation with the gynaecologist - analysis of patient’s general health and intimate health, talk about the motivation for the surgery, gynaecological examination to exclude inflammation within the vulva and vagina.

Two weeks before planned date of the surgery, the patient cannot take aspirin or its derivatives (e.g. Acard), vitamin E, antitussives and flu medicines. Such medicines adversely affect prolongation of bleeding during surgery.

Physician should be informed about the infection if such occurred during 2 weeks prior to scheduled surgery.

If the procedure is performed under general anaesthesia, patient should not eat and drink anything 6 hours prior to the surgery and perform blood test necessary for general anaesthesia (APTT; morphology, sodium; potassium; kaolin cephalin clotting time, fibrinogen, glucose, blood count, blood sugar level).

I’m involved in coordinating and guiding our patients before, during, and after their visits to our clinic. But, for me, it is also about getting to know people, making friends, laughing together as well as sharing more serious moments - it’s about being part of a beautiful journey to parenthood.
